These Are A Few Of My (Dog’s) Favorite Things

My dog loves to travel.  Brad and I take him everywhere.  As P2M’s resident “Dog Mom,” I wanted to showcase some of Caesar’s adventures, and share a few of the must-have items we’ve found worthwhile as we raise this on-the-go German Shepard.

Here are my recommendations to other dog-parents, especially those that love this intelligent, loyal breed:

He would chase any other four-legged animal and get into a lot of trouble, so I appreciate this [amazon_textlink asin=’B073WNNWJH’ text=‘RuffWear leash‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’a59f0ccf-2be1-11e8-80e4-4d514ee55ca6′].  It has a clasp that’s sturdy and secure.  The rope is even reflective so I feel comfortable walking at night.  It’s washable, durable, and high quality.

2.) GSD rate extremely, mind-bogglingly high in shedding.  SO. MUCH. HAIR! We try to brush him once a week, using the [amazon_textlink asin=’B01M58XNI9′ text=’Furminator‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’d78ba89d-2be1-11e8-8238-5d9c0c4c713e’].

I chose the long-hair version, in an effort to keep our house from looking like a western movie with hair-tumble-weeds blowing through the desert.  When I pull it out, he runs to the back yard; excited for some pampering.  He also loves his [amazon_textlink asin=’B0727Y5ZD7′ text=’back-seat hammock‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’poms2moms-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’fb79ceef-2be1-11e8-a784-63193d6eee29′] from 4KNines.  Clearly, it’s his head rest.

Ultimately, the shop vac is the absolute, most important product when you’re a GSD momma.

One perk of living near the Puget Sound is that water is around every corner.  Not that I don’t trust him, but let’s be real – Caesar would chase every wave out into the middle of the sea.  If we are having water adventures, he gets to wear his floaty. He got an XL, and it fits perfectly.  We can’t wait to use it again this summer.
