A Mom’s Guide To Perfectly Outfitting Your Family For Photos

Ahh… ´tis the season of boots, cute sweaters, chilly weather… and family photos! If youŕe like me, you have had complete total epic meltdowns over the outfits you, your children, and your husband are going to wear for these photos that will be plastered all over your wall and mailed out to basically everyone you know on your Christmas cards. Oh, and if they didn´t make the Christmas card list, best believe your mom is walking around with it in her purse waiting for someone to ask how youŕe doing. So here we have it, a Momś Guide to outfitting your entire family… made EASY!

 Family pictures always turn out really adorable… but the process getting there nearly made me lose my religion last year. Have you ever almost canceled the *day before* your photos because you literally cannot get your outfits together? Yea, ME NEITHER.

Luckily for me, we have a FABULOUS photographer who is tolerant of my issues and we managed to *barely* get some cute photos (only after we had to reschedule because my daughter looked like this for every photo….

Here´s a few of my favorite general tips for family pictures:

• KISS (keep it simple, stupid)
• Neutral colors are your FRIEND
• Busy prints may not photograph well
• Match the outfits by level of dressy but…
• PLEASE DON´T WEAR THE EXACT SAME THING. White tops and khakis should be left in the 90´s.

Needless to say, I´m glad we survived that photo shoot!
